Information Object Definitions (IODs)
There are three IOD Segments: File Meta Information, DICOM Header, PixelData
  • An IOD is like a data file made up of three areas.
  • File Meta Information – Group 2 data (Transfer Syntax+) (Always Explicit VR Little Endian).
  • DICOM Header – Contains the Tags that specify data “attribute” elements.
  • PixelData – The bulk of the IOD is in the Pixels.
